Have you ever met a person that you believe is your soul mate, your kindred spirit, your twin flame, your spirit animal?! Well, I have and it is wonderful.
Don’t you just love spring? There is color everywhere and the world seems full of life. The bees are buzzing, the birds are chirping..it’s a great time to be in love!
So pray tell, who is my mysterious “love?”
The funny thing is that I’ve known this person my whole life. We’ve been friends through the ups and downs of life and they have ALWAYS been there for me. I woke up the other day with a feeling of such deep and sincere love that it was palpable!
They are a reliable, kind, thoughtful and enduring friend. They treat me with compassion (most of the time…ha) and love me without condition. They are ambitious, yet steady, loving yet not a pushover, pushy but not obnoxious, openly communicative, direct and honest. They believe that anything can be accomplished with a bit of patience, resilience, and focus. Most importantly, they believe in me and believe that the things I want that are not yet visible are always within my reach!
They love the beach and a fun trip to Las Vegas. They are spontaneous yet responsible and have a youthful approach to life. They love fitness and wellness and they take great care of themselves.
Hey look, I’m not naive, they are certainly not perfect. They make mistakes like everyone else, but I accept them with their mistakes and all! Sometimes they are a bit hard on me especially when I start to serve drinks at my pity party! They are not afraid to tell me to get my act together!
I am so excited to tell you that this fabulous person I’m in love with is…wait for it… ME!
Why do we spend so much time looking for love before we love ourselves? I believe you must first BE the person you want before you can expect someone outside of you to be your everything or complete you.
Let’s all list and acknowledge the wonderful things about ourselves and fall in love with who we are. Not who we used to be, or who we want to be but who we are…right here right now!
